Air Jordan 2.5 Team

Releasing in January 2009 (alongside the colorway shown above):
Jordan Brand will continue their legacy of hybridizing two sneakers within the brand to form a new pair utilizing the best of both models in the upcoming year. In the model shown above, the Air Jordan 2 (II) and the Air Jordan 3 (III) are combined; thus, the sneaker is named the Air Jordan 2.5 Team. This sneaker seems to be focused toward providing an excellent basketball experience to players of all ages and skill levels. The Air Jordan 2.5 Team is currently available in some colorways and will be released in seven more colorways in the upcoming year. Four of these upcoming colorways are very similar and the only noticeable difference between each of them is the accent color. Three colorways will release on January 3, 2009 and the remaining four will be released on February 1, 2009. All colorways will retail for $130. Check out the pictures of the other colorways of the Air Jordan 2.5 Team after the jump!

Releasing in February 2009:

Air Jordan CP3 II

As Chris Paul emerges as one of the top point guards in the world, Jordan Brand will help build on his success by releasing the Air Jordan CP3 II in 2009. This sneaker seems to be inspired by the Air Jordan 23 (XXIII); most noticeably, the CP3 II borrows a stitching pattern on the side that is reminiscent of the Air Jordan 23. Built for one of the flashiest point guards in the NBA, this pair provides padded ankle support while keeping the cut low enough to allow for fluid motion on the basketball court. Paying tribute to Chris Paul’s New Orleans Hornets, the sneakers shown above also flaunts a New Orleans inspired graphic starting from right above the heel leading to the top the ankle support. The energy stitching and gold accents throughout this pair also correlate with the Hornets team colors. The CP3 II will be available for all of Chris Paul’s loyal fans on March 3, 2009 for $122. Check out the other colorway set to debut alongside this pair after the jump.

Air Jordan Force Fusion 6 (VI) 5/8

Formerly referred to as the Air Jordan Force Fusion 6 (VI) low, we are now receiving word that these are a 5/8 cut rather than a low cut. Taking inspiration from the Air Jordan 6 (VI) low and the Nike Air Force 1 (One) low, this sneaker features the best of both worlds. Including the patented Nike Air Force 1 (One) sole, this sneaker will surely provide the comfort and support needed to go that extra mile on and off the courts. Taking key stylistic characteristics from the Air Jordan 6, this pair yields the AJ6 ankle, tongue, and halo on the heel. Two colorways of the Air Jordan Force Fusion 6 (VI) 5/8 will release in early 2009. The first of these is the one shown above which features a White / Varsity Red - Stealth colorway. A detailed picture of the second colorway of Black / Stealth - Varsity Red can be seen after the jump. Both colorways will be released on March 21, 2009 for a retail price of $135.

Air Jordan Force Fusion 6 (VI)

We have shown you countless previews of the Air Jordan Force Fusion VI (6) and have received mixed reviews of it from our readers. Some like the idea of combining one of the greatest Air Jordan models ever, the Air Jordan 6 (VI), with the classic Nike Air Force 1 (One), whereas others despise of it and believe that it will worsen the image of both sneakers. Whatever the case may be, Jordan Brand is set to release two colorways in January, three colorways in February, and two more colorways in March which brings the grand total to seven colorways of the AJF6 set to release in the first three months of 2009. All colorways will be sold for a retail price of $160. Featuring an Air Force 1 sole, strap, and swoosh and an Air Jordan 6 halo, tongue, and body, this pair truly brings out the best of both models. Check out the other six colorways of the Air Jordan Force Fusion VI (6) set to release in 2009 after the jump!
